  • Responsibilities

    The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the Agency and ensuring that the organization adheres to all legal accounting practices while maintaining and improving its financial standing by guiding financial policies, assessing risks, and advising on opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage working capital management, and cash flows  
    • Oversee the cash management process, including development of weekly and monthly cash forecasts.  Analyze variances to forecasts and implement improvements to the forecasting process.
    • Ensure compliance with company credit insurance policy, including ongoing monitoring of current client credit and timely due diligence on prospective clients including the ability to get adequate insurance coverage. Timely alert both agency and practice group leadership when credit insurance does not cover exposure.
    • Oversee monitoring of client Accounts Receivable, WIP and Unbilled Accounts Receivable, including proactive follow up to ensure timely payments.  In the event of any past due balances, regular coordination with account teams on follow-up and escalation of any unpaid or past due balances.
    • Ensure all working capital information reported to parent company is accurate.  Ensure all intercompany balances related to client working capital are reconciled timely.
    • Analyze and put in place process improvements in the working capital process to ensure the accurate and timely capture of data.
    • Assist with maintenance and improvements of internal control environment and processes related to areas under your purview 
    • Maintain regular ongoing communication with agency management, practice group management and Treasury.
    • Manage banking relationships for both internal and external entities
    • Lead monthly working capital calls for agency

    Required Skills

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
    • CPA preferred
    • 7+ years accounting or similar experience in a corporate environment
    • Detailed knowledge of financial legislation and practices
    • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced system skills (spreadsheets, financial applications, report writers, query tools, & databases).
    • Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks
    • Must be proficient in Excel as well as the other programs of the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus
    • Previous experience in advertising industry and/or holding company structure a plus
