    PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic intern to work with the young and dynamic Communications team. The intern will get an opportunity to operate in a zestful and evolving environment to contribute to a growing portfolio of impactful work in public health. Key responsibilities will be to provide support on activities including, but not limited to content creation and distribution, digital engagement, and assistance in developing all creative and branding initiatives. He/she will also have the opportunity to work closely with all program verticals, including Neglected Tropical Diseases, Tuberculosis and HIV, Mother and Child Health and Nutrition, Vaccines, Impact Lab, Primary and Digital health.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    AS A COMMUNICATIONS INTERN, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

     

    • Write, edit, proofread, deliver and manage content on PATH’s activities and projects for various audiences and channels to achieve key communication objectives
    • Create content for PATH’s institutional channels including webpage and social media as well as for posters, brochures, factsheets, and infographics
    • Create relevant case studies and case stories
    • Contribute to the country’s communications action plan
    • Maintain content inventories including photo, video and design assets
    • Work closely with the organization’s comms agencies for coordination on all creative and initiatives

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree at a reputed graduate school. Fresh graduates in English literature/mass communication/journalism are encouraged to apply
    • Flair for creating engaging and compelling content for different audiences from technical updates, reports and case studies to short copies for social media
    • Strong writing and editing skills in English. Similar skills in Hindi or any other regional Indian language will be a bonus
    • Basic research and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify opportunities
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
    • Excellent command over MS Office applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. Knowledge of design tools like photoshop, illustrator will be a bonus
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment

     

    SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED AND/OR EXPANDED DURING THE INTERNSHIP:

    • Developing and curating content on public health priorities
    • Understanding of editorial planning, brand management, digital engagement, media relations and monitoring
    • Preparation of communication collateral for various stakeholders, audiences and channels, both online and offline
    • Knowledge of global health, digital health, nonprofit management, and communication strategy
    • Fostering collaboration and coordination among team members
    • Exposure to PATH software and programs
