POSITION SUMMARY:
Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake, LLC is a leading supplier for Air Disc and Foundation Drum Brakes for Commercial Vehicles in North America. We have a co-op opportunity for college students seeking to broaden their experience in the Supply Chain field at our manufacturing facility. This position will be available starting in August 2019. Up to 40 hours per week are expected during the summer and part time hours will be expected during the school year. This is an ideal opportunity for a Bowling Green, KY local student who is at least a sophomore in good standing at an accredited college or university.
The Supply Chain Co-op will participate as a supply chain team member in the process for the manufacture of industrial and or commercial products. This position will assist in the creation of production scheduling and workflow for each department of operation. Assist in the preparation of production reports, and configuring of lists of required tools, materials and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assists in the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and materials requirements.
Respond to termination or cancellation requests for sales. Assist in management of the inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedule.
Participates in the supplier communication, including: release purchase orders, invoice issues, requests for quotes, and the development of the total supplier evaluation tool.
Work with manufacturing personnel; the Materials Department and Supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
Support Product Safety Management and execute activities defined. Performs his/her job with acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
Provide administrative support as needed.
Perform other duties as required, directed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least a sophomore in good standing and enrolled in Business/ Management Bachelor Degree program or Business related degree program at an accredited college or university.
Must have at least a 3.0/4.0 GPA.
Must be local to the Bowling Green, KY area and attending Western Kentucky University or a local College. Work Sponsorship is not available for this position.
