In this position, you will support the creation and implementation of programs focused on the prevention of work injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness within both an office as well as a manufacturing environment. Experience with body mechanics, injury prevention education and ergonomics is preferred. This is done in collaboration with the Client’s employee healthcare teams, Plant Safety, as well as other Client employee health-related departments. This role be onsite in Allentown, PA at the client’s HQ office. This position will support vacation coverage of a full-time employee for several days / weeks as needed or scheduled in advance.  

YOUR IMPACT WITHIN THIS TEAM:                

• Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education and training including virtual ergonomic assessments and early intervention program.
• Document, track and follow up on the implementation of interventions/programs focused on the manufacturing environment as well as office environment to meet client objectives and encourage safe working habits
• Research and provide educational materials to employees and participants
• Assists employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Physical Therapy Assistant, ATC certification OR Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
• Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing) preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.
• Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. 
• Will be required to follow any current or future site COVID-19 vaccination policies including but not limited to proof of vaccination, weekly testing, etc.
