Position Title:            Engineer 3-4, Web Developer (SafetyDirect)

Reports To:               Manager, Web & Data Platform-Auto Driving

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for implementation and delivery of web-based applications, including the presentation, application and database layers for the Bendix SafetyDirect and AutoVue product lines. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Participate in architecture design, development and development of database and web-based applications.
• Understand and incorporate user experience (UX) guidelines across all product lines.
• Develop code to adhere to user requirements.
• Work within release processes, source code repositories and deployments.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues with optimal solutions

KNOWLEDGE: 

• Knowledgeable on web, application and database development.
• Knowledgeable with transactional web portals.
• Knowledgeable with building responsive websites.
• Knowledgeable with working in an agile development environment.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field is preferred.

Required Experience

• 5-7 years’ experience in .NET development
• 5-7 years’ experience with database development
• 5-7 years’ experience with web development
• 5-7 years’ experience with IIS administration and configuration
• Experience with modern Javascript frameworks (Angular, React)
• Experience with Shell Scripting (Powershell)
• Experience with code repository like SVN and GIT
• Experience with communication protocols and message queue technologies
• Experience with security protocols and encryption
• Experience with video encoding and delivery
