The Front-end Web Developer works closely with development, creative and account team members to quickly produce email specific HTML, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS web content for internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work with graphic designers and software engineers to create front-end code for emails, interactive applications, web sites and HTML5 animated or dynamic display ad units.
- Develop new and modify existing email templates.
- Transform detailed mockups from the design team into CSS-based, static, interactive, and dynamic HTML pages.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility of work products with the major web browsers.
- Communicate accurate progress, roadblocks and delays to project managers.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Conduct proper testing of emails, pages, and applications including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing and deployment testing.
- Publish applications to development, QA and production environments.
- Remain current with changes in relevant APIs such as Facebook and Google and assess the possible impact to existing applications due to changes.
Required Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, Creative Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years developing front-end web applications.
- Expert knowledge of HTML for emails, HTML 5 and CSS 3.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of the Google Ads marketing platform including Studio and DV360.
- Experience integrating dynamic data sources into display ad units.
- Experience working with jQuery.
- Required experience in responsive design and implementation.
- Experience in building multi-platform (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet) compatible emails, web sites and banners.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working familiarity with product/inventory data feed platforms such as Feedonomics.
- Working familiarity with content management and ecommerce platforms such as WordPress and Shopify.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail when developing front-end user interfaces from design mockups.
- Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot problems in code.
- Aptitude for developing applications that adhere to and satisfy all requirements.
- Experience with email marketing/automation sites like Hubspot, Constant Contact, etc., a plus
