    FALL 2021 PURCHASING CO-OP

     

    SUMMARY

    We are looking for an energetic Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, or Purchasing major to join our team as a PURCHASING CO-OP in Elyria, Ohio. This position will work within the Supply Chain department to assist supply chain managers and buyers in day-to-day operations and projects. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a PURCHASING CO-OP, you will be responsible for:

    • Prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQ) process.
    • Analyze quotations; assist in obtaining capital appropriations, and issue purchase orders
    • Maintain monthly and annual metrics
    • Assist Supply Chain manager and buyers in day-to-day projects and responsibilities
    • Participate in manufacturing reviews, as well as monthly interplant meetings.
    • Participate in supplier and cross-functional team meetings
    • Assist in invoicing and payment issues
    • Provide support on supplier transition projects and new product introductions, including identification of new suppliers, as required
    • Liaison for SCM on the Product Change Process Team

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Currently attending an accredited college or university 
    • 3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher
    • Major in Supply Chain Management, Materials, Operations, or Purchasing
    • Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week during the work term
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools— Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Detail-Orientated and self-motivated
    • Must be resourceful and not intimidated by large assignments
    • Exceptional organization skills
    • Ability to establish trust and Credibility
    • Ability to Multi-task
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Works well in a team environment
    • Ability to prioritize effectively and complete all projects in a timely manner
