  • Responsibilities

    THIS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION, WORKING 4-5 DAYS IN LAKE FOREST – M-TH 7:30AM – 4:30PM AND FRIDAY 7:30AM – 12:00PM.

     

    Provide administrative and workflow support to the Benefits Division.  All responsibilities span across multiple business lines supporting the SBB Division.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to counting, sorting, logging, scanning and distribution of incoming mail in a deadline driven fast-paced environment. Perform basic proof reading of letters, mail letters with appropriate forms, when necessary, creating and printing labels and/or envelopes.  Create and print claim acknowledgement letters, review and re-send return mail and update member addresses based on address change cards received.  Deliver deposit slips and refund checks to treasury department.  Research life policy searches within state specific guidelines.  Create and distribute weekly and monthly Access database reports and monthly and annual disability payment reports along with other administrative duties as assigned.

    • Manage multiple shared email boxes, – Identify members using CIA .  Log Life & Disability mail in one of five Access databases, count and distribute incoming mail to the correct claim analyst.  Fax necessary work certifications on new disability SSB claims, locate obituaries on new Life claims and check the child support lien network, when required.  Route non-Benefits Division mail to the correct area by email, interoffice mail or USPS mail.

    • Print letters, envelopes and reports from multiple locations including Workflow, email and shared drives.  Completes basic proof reading, folding and stuffing of letters with multiple carbon copies, into correct envelope type, by business line  Create labels and include form enclosures, when required.  When form enclosures are required, identify form type.  Keep printers filled with paper and envelopes.

    • Handle return mail and change of address cards by identifying member, and re-sending information to correct address, updating member’s address based on information provided on change of address card in Mainframe. Handle eligibility maintenance requests throughout the day by adding/updating eligibility and alternate payees in Mainframe.  Add plan codes, provider and vendor records in PowerStepp.

    • Create and distribute internal weekly and monthly Access Database reports and external monthly and annual disability payment reports. Email external disability payment reports to client/group.

    • Create and print acknowledgement letters   Research life policy searches within state specific guidelines for multiple business units. Locate and attach refund checks to deposit slips and deliver to Treasury Department for deposit each week.  Order office supplies and print claim forms, when needed.  Other duties as needed/assigned.

    • HS Diploma (Associates degree or certificate in applied science or science-related technology or other related field preferred).
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
    • Understanding of the processes involved in the production of dry sausage products
    • Ability to use and read measurement instruments
