    About the Role:

    State Brass Foundry is looking for a skilled Grinder to join our production team in Tooele, UT. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our manufacturing process, where precision and craftsmanship make all the difference.     Responsibilities:

    Operate grinding equipment to finish and smooth castings and metal components to specification

    Inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, and surface imperfections using hand tools and gauges

    Set up and adjust grinders, sanders, and related finishing equipment for various part sizes and tolerances

    Follow work orders and trained instructions to surface finish requirements

    Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with foundry safety standards

    Perform routine equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues to supervisors

    Meet daily production quotas while maintaining consistent quality standards

    Requirements:

    Prior experience in grinding, metal finishing, or foundry/manufacturing environment preferred but not required

    Ability to operate bench grinders, angle grinders, and other abrasive finishing tools

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

    Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

    Must adhere to all PPE requirements including eye, ear, and respiratory protection
