    JOB ROLE SUMMARY

    As a Senior Project Scheduler you will be accountable for planning and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure that the goals or objectives of a project are accomplished within a prescribed time frame.  The Senior Project Scheduler will provide schedule updates as required for each project.   

     

    DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Prepares summary level schedules for proposed projects.
      • Review Construction Documents.
        • Take off of drawings for production quantities
        • Calculate activity durations from applied quantities
        • Determine access
        • Determine Phasing/sequence
        • Determine hoisting
        • Determine means and methods
        • Develop a Site logistics plan
        • Analyze weather and create weather calendar as applies
        • Identify potential risks and ways to deal with them
        • Identify critical trades and basic resource requirements.
        • Determine Supervision requirements
        • Prepare a project approach/ narrative for the project
        • Identify potential acceleration methods to meet required milestones.
        • Identify potential procurement issues

    Serve as an advisor for the solution of project schedule problems.

    Ability to do a comprehensive time impact analysis

    Work with the project team to finalize sequencing, duration, and general logic for the construction of the project.

    Finalize or review detailed schedules for projects that are used as a baseline to measure progress against for the future schedule updates.

    Assists in schedule needs relative to contract schedule vs. accelerated schedule as required by the project team.

    Provides schedules that will need to be issued with contracts or bid documents to subcontractors and suppliers.

    Performs Progress / Schedule Updates: Visit and walk projects to gather update/actual information. Interface with the Superintendent and project team with regard to schedule actual and projections.

    Status construction progress weekly.

    Monitor procurement & expediting progress.

    Track progress against critical path & key milestones.

    Monitor resource/trade stacking & performance.

    Track and analyze weather impacts.

    Forecast progress to key milestones/completion.

    Perform on-going quantity take off for project changes.

    Modify schedule based on scope changes.

    Keep Project Team informed of the state of the project.

    Other duties as assigned.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 10+ years of experience scheduling in the commercial construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor highly preferred.
    • Experience with forensic scheduling highly preferred. 
    • Advanced knowledge of Primavera (Oracle) P6 version scheduling software.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Presentation skills required in meetings and in training.
    • Must have the ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions, soils report) at all levels of design.
    • Must have the ability to translate the construction documents into a plan of action.

    QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS:

    • A solid curiosity about the ever-changing world of social media.
    • A minimum of 1 year of experience or internship with direct community management experience for a brand.
    • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, public relations or a closely related field, or relevant experience.
    • Knowledge and experience with how all social channels work, including a deep understanding of in-platform functionalities, such as creator tools within Instagram Stories.
    • Strong creative writing skills and a basic understanding of Photoshop is preferred.
