Title: Retail Store Cashier 

Department: Retail Store

Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor

Candidates must be over 21 years old and fluently speak and understand English, for safety purposes.

The Cashier assists customers with the check out process, navigating the store for potential purchases and answering questions.

Job Duties: 

• Welcomes customers by greeting them: offering them assistance

• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters or directing them to the appropriate personnel

• Documents sales of merchandise by way of check out via POS

• Processes payments by totaling purchases, cash and credit cards

• Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Check and complete daily tasks of queues

• Answer phone calls and assist customers

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

• Ability to read and write English

• Previous retail/cashier experience

• Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $16.00/hr

Shift Schedule: Thursday - Sunday 10am - 6pm or 12pm - 8pm

This is a Part-Time, permanent, non-exempt position.
