Job Description

• Contribute to and own elements of the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of all ground system software for Astroscale U.S. programs.
• Design and build software for deployment in cloud-hosted, on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Rapidly prototype software and infrastructure to prove out design concepts.
• Work in a full-stack capacity across back-end and front-end specialties.
• Work iteratively with Flight Software, Test Software, Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC), and other internal teams to achieve program goals ahead of schedule.
• Embody a culture of innovation, technical excellence, continuous improvement and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Git, bash, Python, Docker and Linux
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with database selection and management
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and design patterns
• Collaborative communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Passion for building next-generation space-sustainability technology
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field, with 2+ years of professional software development experience, including with Rust, C++ or Java

Salary range: _$95,000 – $130,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
