We are a large residential apartment complex in Newburgh, NY. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and visitors. THIS IS NOT A LANDSCAPING POSITION.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and common areas.

Remove debris, litter, and trash to keep the grounds tidy and presentable.

Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months to ensure safe access for residents and visitors.

Emptying the trash compactor

Removal/breaking down of discarded items (couches, tables, mattresses, etc.)

Cleaning out the dumpster enclosures

You may also be needed to assist with transferring maintenance supplies and from one vacant apartment to another, unloading supplies, moving appliances, unit cleanouts, carpet removal, etc.

Qualifications:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Must be able to lift 50lbs, carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
