POSITION SUMMARY

Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i is a non-profit organization affiliated with The Inter-Faith Group (IFG), which is an alliance of seven independently operated non-profits that share a collective mission to create quality affordable housing and support services to families. _ Job Type: Part-time _

_Salary: $14.00 - $15.00 hourly _

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with weekend availability, on-call, and possible overtime.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of make-ready units, including removal of trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready and touch-up paints as needed.
• Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models.
• Mowing, edging. Weeding, mulching and fertilizing lawns & beds as needed and as assigned
• Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
• Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
• Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes as needed and as season requires
• Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Deliver communication documentation to residents.
• Contribute to resident retention programs.
• Complies with Texas Inter-Faith Management/40i current maintenance safety, emergency procedures, leading and marketing, management, and operations manuals along with the team member handbook.
• Demonstrates customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services, and completing assigned work orders with efficiency and urgency.
• Comply with all training requirements set forth for this position.
• Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Physical & Driving Requirements:

• Will need to be on feet (66% to 100%).
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and car registration if driving for business purposes.

Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least one (1) year of experience in groundskeeping or a similar role
• Knowledge of lawn care and landscaping techniques
• Physical fitness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment
• Knowledge of gardening techniques
• Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides
• Proficiency in using manual and power tools safely
