We are seeking a skilled and dedicated groundskeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of guest satisfaction by maintaining the exterior appearance and functionality of our properties. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager with job responsibilities including lawncare, gardening, planting, pruning, snow removal and anything else deemed essential to keep the grounds safe, clean and beautiful.

Responsibilities:

Mowing lawns

Trimming hedges

Watering plants

Installing sprinkler and irrigation systems

Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc.

Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and applying pesticides

Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment

Qualifications:

Strong communication abilities with excellent customer service skills

Proven problem-solving skills with a logical approach to challenges

Proactive attitude towards learning new skills and technologies related to gardening tasks

Task and efficiency-oriented approach with a strong work ethic

Knowledge in basic gardening, lawncare and horticulture.

Clean criminal background

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods

Able to work in various weather conditions

Manual dexterity to use various gardening and landscaping tools and equipment

Schedule:

Full-time or Part-time flexibility.

Weather contingent

Availability in inclement weather events.

Typical schedule includes:

Regular daytime shifts

Emergency response as needed during adverse weather conditions.

Regular visits to Hocking Hills Golf Club

Outdoor work environments in varying weather conditions.
