    Role Overview:

Could you be our next Group Benefits Implementation Manager? Globe Life is looking for a Group Benefits Implementation Manager to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Globe Life Group Benefits Client Services team by managing group implementations through the entire lifecycle (from RFP/proposal through first bill). This position will also be heavily involved in making process improvement recommendations. This position reports to the Director of Client Services.

    This is a remote position.

    What You Will Do:

    Project Management:

    • Act as Project Manager for complex case implementations by developing implementation goals, timelines, guidelines and processes for various types of complex group implementations.
    • Advise key stakeholders on out-of-scope products or administrative requirements or expectations which may impact customer satisfaction and provide recommendations to achieve administrative objectives.
    • Coordinate with account management team and administrators to promote successful installation of complex accounts. Includes gathering and analyzing requirements and developing solutions by creating layouts, charts and diagrams that successfully map workflows among stakeholders involved in complex cases (i.e., broker, group, eligibility vendor, premium vendor, COBRA vendor, etc.) to ensure:
      • the “source of truth” is identified,
      • the data model is designed so information flows seamlessly among all parties (e.g., groups have same data set for setting up deductions that TPA has for enrolling members and sending out ID cards),
      • the standards for different types of file processes (e.g., spreadsheet vs. EDI) are understood and communicated clearly, and reporting is developed and delivered as appropriate for the administrative service model selected (e.g., error reports, missed deduction reports, etc.).
    • Provide comprehensive implementation support to Account Managers to enable effective client onboarding leadership, including preparing detailed call agendas, conducting pre-meeting briefings to ensure Account Manager readiness, drafting call recaps for Account Manager distribution, and coordinating all behind-the-scenes activities with internal stakeholders and TPA partners to facilitate smooth client implementation meetings.
    • Identify project risks and develop solutions for mitigation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records and documentation in Salesforce.

    Process Improvement:

    • Engage administrative partners to develop and maintain processes and collateral for successful onboarding of new accounts (including design of ID cards and sleeves, Admin Guides, etc.)
    • Develop implementation process training. May coach and review the work of colleagues and support staff.
    • Collaborate with GLGB Sales Team to create a library of responses to implementation questions for RFPs and provide additional responses as necessary.

    What You Can Bring:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Group Insurance products and service, group administration, and external customer service.
    • Previous experience managing carrier relationships with Third Party Administrators and enrollment vendors strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of supplemental health market and all aspects of on-boarding new business including case paperwork, policy issue, billing, customer service, commissions, and contracts.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster multi-disciplinary team collaboration.
    • Industry and Product Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Group Insurance contracts, administrative processes, and automation systems; demonstrated experience with group administrative platforms and billing operations.
    • Leadership Influence and Communication: Proven ability to influence stakeholders to adopt best practices and approaches; skilled in communicating with and influencing executive leadership to drive decision-making.
    • Complex Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to listen actively, document requirements, investigate issues, and develop comprehensive solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders while obtaining necessary approvals.
    • Exceptional Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication abilities with strong customer-facing presentation skills and purposeful, professional communication style.
    • Project Management and Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
    • Strategic Thinking and Process Improvement: Creative, broad-based thinking approach with strong problem-solving capabilities and expertise in systematic process evaluation and improvement initiatives.
    • Technical Proficiency: Advanced internet research skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications to support implementation activities and reporting requirements.
