Step into the role of Group Experience Designer and Operator, where you will design and deliver exceptional group tours and corporate events from concept to completion. You will coordinate logistics, lead staff and vendors, and ensure every program runs seamlessly — on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role where you will move effortlessly between office planning and field execution. You will take ownership of complex projects, anticipate challenges, and align sales, reservations, dispatch, fleet, ranch, and accounting teams to create experiences that are both smooth and memorable.
If you thrive on structure, excel at problem-solving, and want to see the results of your work come to life in the desert, this is the opportunity for you.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll split your time between the office and the field. In the office, you’ll manage schedules, files, budgets, and vendor contracts. In the field, you’ll dispatch tours, coordinate moving parts across the valley, and lead unforgettable events at Metate Ranch. Once trained, you may handle some administrative tasks remotely — but this is a leadership role that requires a hands-on presence where it matters most.
What You’ll Do
Tour & Event Operations: Oversee all program logistics, from scheduling and staffing to transportation and vendor management. Partner with sales to design and customize group tours and events that blend creativity with flawless execution. Lead from the field, troubleshoot in real time, and ensure every program is delivered smoothly and profitably.
Cross-Department Coordination: Serve as the operational hub connecting sales, reservations, fleet, ranch, and accounting. Lead weekly operations check-ins, keep communication clear, and align resources to eliminate last-minute surprises.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Source innovative partners, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure all vendors meet quality, compliance, and insurance standards.
Systems & Process Improvements: Maintain accurate manifests, staffing plans, and client and vendor files. Use existing systems effectively, and identify opportunities for better tools and workflows that increase efficiency.
What Success Looks Like
Tours and events run like clockwork — on time, on budget, and flawlessly executed.
Teams and vendors are aligned, informed, and working together seamlessly.
Clients are delighted and teams are empowered.
Programs are profitable, with well-managed budgets and thoughtful upsells.
Operations are organized and efficient, with accurate files and zero “fire drills.”
You take ownership of challenges and ensure a season of smooth, stress-free execution.
Compensation & Benefits
$28–$32/hour ($51K–$58K base including overtime) and up to $5,000 seasonal bonus (potential $56K–$63K depending on peformance and experience)
401(k) with employer match
Competitive health benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
Paid time off and sick leave
Full time October - April (40+ hours per week)
Part time May - September (20 hours/week, with potentail for additional hours in May and September if we have events or large groups)
This is a year-round position where you will work hard and long hours during the season and enjoy a more relaxed pace and flexible hours in the off season. If you’re ready to own the details and deliver unforgettable experiences, we’d love to meet you.
