We are seeking a compassionate, grounded, and dynamic Group Facilitator to join our addiction and mental health treatment team in Ohio. This role is at the heart of our clinical programming, guiding patients through meaningful group experiences that foster insight, accountability, emotional growth, and long-term recovery.
As a Group Facilitator, you will:
Lead structured psychoeducational and process groups for individuals in residential and/or partial hospitalization levels of care
Facilitate evidence-based curriculum focused on substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and life skills
Create a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment where patients feel supported and challenged
Encourage healthy peer interaction, accountability, and personal reflection
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care and alignment with individualized treatment plans
Document group participation and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor group dynamics and address conflict or safety concerns appropriately
Participate in clinical meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required (Master’s preferred)
Relevant licensure or certification in Ohio (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, CDCA, LCDC, etc.) preferred or working toward licensure
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in addiction or mental health treatment
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience facilitating groups in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or mental health settings
Strong understanding of substance use disorders and co-occurring diagnoses
Knowledge of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, MI, and trauma-informed care
The ability to engage individuals at various stages of readiness for change
Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills
Professional documentation skills and familiarity with EMR systems
