Group Fitness Manager
The Group Fitness Manager (GFM) will lead the Group Exercise Instructors and support the growth and success of the GGX Program. The GFM will also serve as a resource to educate members, prospective members, and team members on various aspects of Group Fitness Program and LesMills Class formats. They will report directly to the General Manager in assigned club(s).
Responsibilities:
Manage Group Exercise Instructors and Group Exercise operations
Coordinate to find a qualified/approved substitute when Instructors cannot fulfill a scheduled class
Monthly/Quarterly Program Launches
Attend all required Gym staff meetings
Ensure Instructors follow proper time keeping and payroll procedures
Manage GGX Club Schedule, class attendance, and Instructor weekly class totals
Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards his/her responsibilities, fellow employees, and members
Qualifications & Requirements:
At least 2 years teaching in a group exercise format.
Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with multiple specialized skills such as Yoga, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Attack, etc. must provide verifiable proof of education.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and perform at least 2 classes in club per week
Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM
Current CPR certification and basic first aid training is required
Functional computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Physical demands include, but are not limited to the ability to lift light weights, bending, squatting, jumping, running, reaching, walking, hopping, spinning and kicking.
