The Chateau Saint Denis Hotel is seeking Sales Manager who is dynamic, detail oriented, has a great personality and can close a sale. If this is you, we want to talk to you.
The position reports directly to the management of the Chateau Saint Denis Hotel. The ideal candidate will reside in the Natchitoches area or North Louisiana and possess a strong knowledge of Natchitoches and the surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Pursue leads from the Natchitoches Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and Natchitoches Events Center through personal contact, telephone solicitation and participation in industry functions
Develop working relationships with corporate and association meeting planners and maintain high visibility in the meeting planning community
Identify potential leads; respond to clients’ requests for information, assist in developing proposals and service existing accounts
Meet established room night goals, lead goals, outreach goals and catering goals and objectives
Respond to service requests and ensures that the client is introduced to the local establishments that are hosting their event or stay
Prepare and present presentations, as needed, to conventions, organizations and meetings about the offerings of the City of Natchitoches and the Hotel
Responsible for staying abreast of new trends and innovations in the hospitality and convention industry
Coordinate, manage and execute special events related to group markets including individual and group familiarization trips, trade shows and marketplaces, sales missions and other sales enhancement events
Maintain accurate records in the customer relationship management system
Compile statistical information for required reports and special projects, including reports detailing the effectiveness of completed initiatives and marketing efforts
Attend Convention and Visitor’s Bureau board meetings as required and report on sales initiatives, sales outreach, tentative and confirmed new bookings with associated room night’s generated with the economic impact related to the group booking
Heavy outside sales emphasis throughout the State of Louisiana
Some travel may be involved
Job Requirements:
Preferred hotel and hospitality sales experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not necessary
Marketing and social media experience preferred
Strong organizational skills required
Strong sales skills, including cold-calling and presentation skills
Strong closing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Work Environment:
Inside office setting, it is brightly lit with central air conditioning and heating.
Outside, exposed to heat and humidity
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, stretching
Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs
Good hearing and eyesight
