This role focuses on selling group experiences including field and court rentals, birthday parties, team-building events, corporate outings, school and youth organization events, camps, and the new Family Entertainment Center (FEC).

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Sales, the Group Sales Manager is accountable for prospecting new business, closing deals, managing repeat accounts, and ensuring a seamless transition from sale to execution. This position plays a key role in achieving revenue goals while supporting long-term, value-based customer relationships.

This position does require face-to-face engagement with our local community and, thus, requires someone living in the area.

    Key Responsibilities

Proactive solicitation and management of group sales opportunities across all areas of The Centre

Prospect new business, close deals, and manage existing accounts to drive repeat bookings

Achieve sales goals through strategic outreach and follow-up

Serve as the primary point of contact for group clients from initial inquiry through event execution

Ensure all booked business is properly, and in a timely manner, turned over to operations and event staff for service delivery

Develop customized proposals, contracts, and group packages aligned with customer needs and Centre offerings

Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, sports programming, café, Family Entertainment Center, and operations

Build and strengthen relationships with schools, businesses, nonprofits, youth organizations, corporate groups, faith-based organizations, and community groups

Represent The Centre at networking events, community functions, and other outreach opportunities

Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurately track leads, bookings, and customer interactions

Support the launch, promotion, and ongoing sales of new offerings, including the Family Entertainment Center

    Customer Experience & Relationship Management

Deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout each customer experience

Gain a strong understanding of each client’s business, goals, and expectations to offer thoughtful solutions

Drive customer loyalty by supporting The Centre’s service and relationship strategy

Service existing accounts to grow share of business and encourage repeat bookings

    Sales Strategy & Market Awareness

Identify new business opportunities to meet revenue and growth objectives

Understand market conditions, customer demand, and competitor strengths and weaknesses

Effectively position The Centre’s offerings based on location needs and market dynamics

Close the most strategic opportunities to support overall facility goals

    Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role is an energetic “people person” who enjoys sales and is a combination of career- and community-driven. This position offers an ideal opportunity for advancement, especially when we open our new family entertainment center in the first quarter of this year and provides the chance to positively impact our community through the connections our facility fosters. Success in the position requires a professional, focused approach to sales combined with a natural ability to promote the facility enthusiastically on a personal level.

    Key Traits

A minimum of three years of experience in sales, group sales, or event sales in hospitality or sports facilities, or in a related field

Strong leadership, negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and customer service skills

Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple bookings and timelines

Comfortable working independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion

Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Strong business acumen, work ethic, and passion for service
