    We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors. The successful candidate will collaborate with writers, editors, and other team members to maintain consistency and uphold the highest standards of language and style.

    Payscale: $15-$25/hr

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and proofread content for grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. This includes websites, emails, ads, print, internal marketing materials, and more.
    • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting throughout various documents and digital platforms.
    • Verify facts, dates, addresses, and other details.
    • Provide constructive feedback to writers and contribute to the improvement of overall writing quality.
    • Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and style guides.
    • Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Proofreader or similar role.
    • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
    • Familiarity with style guides such as AP, Chicago, or other industry-specific standards.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Education: A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field is preferred.
