    Position Hours: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    Job Duties::

    • Direct and oversee all staff and day-to-day activities, including supervising children from kindergarten to fifth grade.
    • Supervise and evaluate program staff.
    • Assist with hiring and maintaining staff to ensure a qualified and dedicated team.
    • Assist with enrollment and conduct program tours to showcase our opportunities.
    • Communicate with parents to ensure open and effective communication.
    • Maintain records, order supplies, and manage inventory.
    • Train and develop staff to ensure their professional growth.
    • Plan, schedule, and implement exciting activities for the children.
    • Ensure that our program operates smoothly and efficiently and complies with OCFS regulations.
    • Follow OCFS policies and procedures related to licensing requirements, medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
    • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing school programs and events.
    • Collaborate with the Assistant Director and staff to develop engaging educational activities.
    • Support students during program sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being.
    • Monitor student progress and provide feedback as needed.
    • Handle administrative tasks as needed.
    • Remain compliant with all CACFP standards.

    Requirements:

    • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Recreation, or related field with at least one year of experience working directly with children aged five or older. OR at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education.
    • Experience working with children and in a supervisory role.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of Ocfs regulations and licensing requirements.
    • Passion for creating engaging educational activities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • High level of professionalism and commitment.
