    Chief Detective is looking for an ambitious and driven individual that wants to help our clients—fast-growing startups and large retail companies—scale revenue and acquisition aggressively via paid digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn, and become an expert in performance marketing: the art of figuring out the exact right positioning for a product, and how to attack that positioning to unlock as much business growth as humanly possible.

    Chief Detective specializes in e-commerce and works with direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands in apparel, beauty, lifestyle, and more. Representative clients include Jenni Kayne, Rag & Bone, Ursa Major, Merit Beauty, Frank & Eileen, and TOMS Shoes.

    This is a hands-on role where you will acquire the direct skills needed to define and aggressively grow almost any type of product or service.

    You will be working with our team to drive growth and revenue performance through Facebook/Instagram/TikTok advertising management for some of the top retailers and high-growth startups in the country.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete thorough training program and on-ramp for online growth marketing
    • Support senior growth marketers in managing ad spend, driving performance on client accounts, and various tasks as needed
    • When ready, take over your own client accounts and, with a creative content partner, directly own and manage revenue growth for those accounts
    • Develop and execute paid social media strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google)
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to ensure goals are met and optimize campaigns for better results.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to produce engaging ad copy and visuals.
    • Conduct audience research and develop targeting strategies to reach key demographics.
    • Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
    • Generate regular reports on campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance marketing

    What you will learn:

    • Expert-level Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok advertising management; how to grow a consumer business aggressively using these platforms
    • The art of message and image/video testing to nail down a crisp and impactful creative playbook for a product/brand
    • How to take a data-orientation towards growth and correctly evaluate consumer data patterns to drive test conclusions and future strategy
    • How to strategize and optimize e-commerce funnels in general
    • Executive communication practices, client relationship management and working cross-functionally with teams

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, STEM or related field.
    • 1-2 years of professional experience; experience with social media platforms and advertising tools (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads) is preferred
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to craft compelling ad copy and visuals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Able to work in dynamic, quickly-changing environments
    • Team player with a collaborative mindset.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • This position has an approved base compensation range of $65,000 to $75,000
