  • Responsibilities

    PROJECT ARCHITECT – Raleigh, NC

    Small Design Build firm, with 8-yr history, has opening for Licensed Project Architect. Candidate will serve as project lead, manage cross-functional design disciplines, and develop technical solutions. Candidate will create construction documents and manage and coordinate the efforts of project team members to maintain the quality of the work product within project schedules. Master planning experience is considered a plus.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

    Should be immediately available;

    8 to 10 years experience as a licensed Architect providing architectural design and implementation for commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and like multi-story facilities;

    Comprehensive understanding of architectural practice and ability to supervise client and team through the all phases of design and implementation (DD & CD) process including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and signoff;

    Ability to collaborate with outside professionals and team members in developing design solutions within the constraints of project goals, budgets, local ordinances and codes;

    Assist client and team in defining, understanding, and managing project scope, budget, and schedule while setting realistic expectations;

    Ensuring designs can be technically implemented and comply with all codes, zoning, municipal standards (etc);

    Ability to succinctly present ideas to client and team members (written and oral presentation);

    Working with Principal to outline goals, budget, timing, deliverables, scope, and required resources; and

    Ability to identify, manage and mitigate areas of concern regarding project liabilities and risk.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Solid abilities in AutoCAD;

    Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop skills, and other industry software is a plus;

    Strong oral and written communication skills;

    Collaborative and professional work ethic; detail-oriented and organized;

    Represent company at Industry meetings and functions;

    Ability to work independently and in a team environment;

    Maintain positive and professional attitude; and

    All other duties assigned by the Principal.
