Opportunity: Accounts Receivable Coordinator / Specialist
Accounts Receivable (AR) Coordinator / Specialist \- What You Will Do:
You will support the Finance and Accounting operations, working directly with the company Controller primarily with construction accounts receivables (AR), billings and collections. You will:
- Process lump-sum (AIA billings), time and material billings and cost-plus projects
- Collect payments – review outstanding receivables, pursue collections, document collection efforts and receive and deposit cash receipts
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger to support monthly close
- Process waivers, notices and liens for all projects
- Set up new customers in the accounting system
- Input contracts, budgets and change orders related to construction jobs
- Issue certificates of insurance to customers and maintain a tracking system for special endorsements and other specific insurance requirements (i.e. OCIP, CCIP)
- Assist with sales tax filing requirements and forms/filings for construction projects
- Support additional accounting tasks including prepare checks, opening accounting mail and sorting statements, invoices and checks for next steps and other administrative accounting functions
Accounts Receivable Coordinator / Specialist – Required Prior Experience, Characteristics:
- Prior experience or exposure working in an accounting department
- Task and deadline oriented personality – you are a driver of initiatives and a get-things-doner.
- You have a strong eye for detail and pride yourself on identifying any errors / inconsistencies
- Resourcefulness – if you don’t know the answer, you will go find out!
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Associate’s degree in accounting
- Notary Public license (you might have, not required)
This role requires successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen prior to start date. Your compensation $65,000, salary exempt, depending on experience.
