Director of Biology – You Will:

• You will oversee a small team and work to develop and grow the team, identifying and onboarding new hires in addition to mentoring the existing team of biologists and regulatory specialists throughout California
• Drive technical reporting and project oversight ensure the team is meeting quality standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and referral partners (including construction firms, biological companies, government municipalities, industry associations, and large prime contractors)
• Attend industry association meetings and networking events to market the company and further the company brand

Director of Biology – You Are:

• An expert in biological, ecological, and environmental services and have successfully managed multiple, large and complex projects from start to finish
• A team leader – you have experience in building, developing and mentoring a team
• Happy being on the road – visiting job sites, meeting with potential customers and referral partners and able to travel
• Relationship driven – you enjoy attending networking events, having a leadership presence in the community and building relationships
  

Director of Biology – You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Fish and Wildlife Science, Natural Resource Science or related field
• Experience working in the environmental or biological consulting industry
• You have proven expertise with environmental construction permitting (NEPA and CEQA) and can contribute to the proposal process, oversee regulatory matters and provide guidance to the team

This role is based in California from your home office. Travel is anticipated and will be frequent, throughout the California.

Compensation base salary $140,000 to $150,000 plus incentive bonus.
