We currently have a Controller opportunity in an environment focused on providing exceptional customer service. The Controller will be accountable for accounting operations for the organization under oversight of CFO to include production of periodic financial reporting, maintenance of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy of reported financial results.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Oversight of day to day functions of the Accounting department to achieve department and organization goals and objectives including but not limited to billing, A/R, A/P, GL
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report any variances
Prepare and publish timely financial statements under oversight of CFO
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and/or compliance reporting
Support any month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with and local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document any business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Success in the Controller…
Advanced college degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
7 years minimum of high-level working accounting and finance experience is required
Proven working experience as a Financial Controller is desired
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures required
Experience and ability to create financial statements required
Experience with General Ledger functions; month-end/year-end processes and accounting software
