We currently have a Compliance Specialist opportunity in an environment that focuses on providing exceptional customer service. The primary goal of the position is to support Guaranty Home Mortgage by assuring compliance in our operations.
Specific Duties of the Compliance Specialist will include, but not be limited to:
Provide compliance support and guidance to all business units.
Respond to inquiries submitted to the compliance inbox. Evaluate and troubleshoot loan level compliance issues. Study both existing and new legislation, to provide guidance on policies and advise on necessary actions to make sure company complies with local, state and federal legal requirements
Stay current on industry standards by continuing education, reading publications, talking with peers and joining professional groups
Assist in the identifying, analyzing, and monitoring for compliance risks and areas of concern
Review marketing material for adherence to state and federal advertising requirements
Provide compliance support and guidance to the internal technology team and compliance vendors
Conduct loan level compliance testing of technology systems, including new programs, system updates, and vendor integration
Potential to work remote for highly qualified candidate
Success in the Compliance Specialist role…
High school diploma or equivalent required; College education preferred
Minimum of 3 years specific mortgage industry related experience required
Working knowledge of state and federal mortgage lending regulations
Ability to exercise independent judgment and analytical skills to proactively problem solve
Exceptional attention to detail to produce high-quality work with multiple interruptions
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, any other mortgage/banking software, etc.).
Professional demeanor and interaction with all customers (internal and external)
