    Job Description

    In an environment characterized by numerous retail locations and distribution points, you will collaborate with us to seamlessly integrate our brand DNA and expert storytelling across all retail locations in the US market. You will ensure there is a seamless execution for a consistent brand expression that upholds our elevated standards of luxury and brand awareness at every touchpoint.

    This temporary position works in the Visual Merchandising team, in close collaboration with the marketing product managers, retailers and production vendors. On a temporary basis, you will oversee/execute in-store VM execution of new launches, store renovations, pop-ups, and spas. You will be responsible for ensuring Guerlain’s visual standard are maintained while working closely with AEs (Account Executives) and beauty consultants in the field. The Visual Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Visual Merchandising and Store Design.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    **Field Description & Accountabilities: **

    • Support the coordination, merchandising, and execution of in store animations and events (travel required dependent on location of projects)
    • Support the merchandising of flagship boutiques, pop ups and wholesale locations (travel required dependent on locations of projects)
    • Conduct store visits, on a weekly basis within the NYC metro area, to ensure shops are executed to Guerlain visual standards
    • Communicate with Beauty Specialists, Counter Managers, and AE’s on Guerlain’s visual standards and adaptations to the US market

    Operational Description & Responsibilities:

    • Review visual store photos and provide necessary support/feedback on a weekly basis
    • Remotely support and guide the field team through merchandising campaign changes
    • Support and partner with AE’s on visual requests/needs, while working closely with the Visual Manager, HQ, production vendors, and retailers
    • Support the team on reviewing technical drawings, production materials and prototypes with Vendors as needed
    • Support the team in creating visual presentations recapping projects for upper management, HQ, field team, and retailers
    • Partner with the Visual Assistant Manager in adapting HQ staging guidelines in the forms of planograms, renderings and schematics to cater to the US market
    • Coordinate tracking of shipments, merch elements and allocations of merch items to store
    • Close collaboration with the Merchandising and Supply teams to ensure the right forecasts and implementation of the festival designs and displays in stores.

    Others:

    • Create purchase orders and review quotes/invoices for approval
    • Self manage travel expenses and travel budgets
    • Partner with visual manager on travel schedule based on store projects or the needs of the business

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably with a background in luxury beauty
    • Exceptional visual standards and the ability to execute Guerlain’s visual direction
    • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, included early mornings, over-nights, evenings and weekends
    • Ability to travel, as needed, within the US market
    • Solution oriented and high sense of ownership of projects to oversee and follow through on projects
    • Strong computer skills in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat) and MS Office (Outlook and PowerPoint) and Sketchup required
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate across the organization.
    • Ability to work autonomously.
    • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, work from home, in office, and in-field/travel
    • Fluency or working knowledge of French is a bonus.
