    Job SummaryThe Make-Up Artist is responsible for providing guests with comprehensive and professional product knowledge and make-up applications, reaching daily sales goal, and assisting the Spa close retail sales. The successful individual will follow established guidelines for luxury make-up applications and services by adhering strictly to the protocols set forth by the Spa. Responsible for providing all guests with customized personal attention that meets and exceeds all of their needs. Must be comfortable anticipating a guest’s needs and discussing any guest concerns. Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and maintain a high level of customer service standards. Must have the ability to communicate with others, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times. Scheduling, dependability, and flexibility are a must.

    Responsibilities

    Understand and abide by TRILOGY and Guerlain Spa policy and procedures.

    Interact with Spa and hotel guests to increase spa, boutique, and product awareness.

    Consult on and sell skincare, cosmetics, and fragrances, providing product knowledge, make-up applications, and refreshers to Spa guests in the boutique.

    Meet daily sales goal (based on hours worked) through selling and up-selling of Spa products.

    Maintain guest records in Spa software system, supporting Spa marketing efforts, promotions, and special events.

    Assist with the management of Retail and Inventory Control.

    Expected to oversee and maintain cleanliness and visual presentation of make-up and skincare tester displays on a regular basis, including, but not limited to: cleaning display, refreshing testers, as needed, compiling tester order for management, disinfecting/cleaning all make-up application utensils, and ensuring a luxury experience is always presented and available to guests.

    Upon completion of training, must be able to educate guests on the usage and application of all Spa products.

    Ensuring continued product training plans are met, to remain an expert on current beauty trends and make-up application techniques.

    Provide detailed descriptions of all make-up services offered at the Spa.

    Ability to complete all make-up services offered, as well as touch-ups, skin consultations, and makeovers, as required.

    Daily outreach to Clientele and tracking with understanding of retail goals set by Spa.

    Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests needs and concerns with a professional and pleasant manner.

    Interact cooperatively with and with consideration towards guests and co-workers.

    Anticipate guest’s needs and adhere to Spa and TRILOGY’s standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.

    Communicate guest problems or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.

    Maintain safety and sanitation standards.

    Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

    Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.

    Must have current state Cosmetology and/or Make-Up Artistry License.

    Must have 3+ years of experience working in sales as a Make-up Artist in an upscale/luxury setting and or department store/branded environment.

    Must have reputable and consistent sales and make-up experience.

    Must be a self-starter exuding helpfulness, self-discipline, tenacity, confidence, and strong organizational skills.

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

    Must be organized and a quick learner; accuracy and attention to detail are critical.

    Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.

    Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and must be available on an "On Call" basis, if needed.

    Must be organized, timely and detail-oriented.

    Basic Computer software skills.
