The Racquets Club of Short Hills
About the Club The Racquets Club of Short Hills, established in 1929, is a private racquets and social club entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership. We're reimagining the club as a year-round home for our members — a place defined by warmth, hospitality, and an exceptional standard of care. We're looking for people who want to help build something special.
The Role The Guest Relations Manager is the face and the host of the club. You own the entire member and guest experience — every touchpoint, physical and digital, from the moment someone walks through the door to the way we show up in their inbox and on their phone. If you light up a room, sweat the details of hospitality, and believe a club should feel like the best version of someone's day, this is your role.
What You'll Own
The full member and guest experience, front of house — setting and upholding a warm, polished standard of hospitality across the club
Member engagement and retention: knowing our members, anticipating their needs, and making every visit feel personal
Events and programming — conceiving, planning, and running social events, tournaments, and member gatherings end to end
Content and communications — the club's digital presence, member-facing messaging, newsletters, social media, and event promotion
Guest and new-member experience, including tours, onboarding, and conversion of prospective members
Acting as the primary point of contact for member feedback, resolving concerns with grace and follow-through
What We're Looking For
A natural host — genuinely energized by people and hospitality
Experience in hospitality, events, membership, guest relations, or a premium service environment
Strong communication and content skills, comfortable across both in-person hosting and digital channels (email, social, basic design tools)
Highly organized, able to run multiple events and initiatives at once
A warm, professional presence and sound judgment with a discerning membership
Evenings/weekends as club programming requires
