    Job Description

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for providing assistance to the Human Resource Coordinator. Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in the recruitment and hiring process of all employees, to include reference checks, conditional employment offers, pre-employment drug screen, DMV report, TB tests, and fingerprints for Criminal Records Checks (CRC).

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in organizing personnel files to include all pre-employment, orientation and training documentation, continuing education, disciplinary actions, and payroll changes which will be ready for audit at all times. 

    • Will prepare copies of Employee Handbook and Welcome Packet for new employees and file verification of receipt of Employee Handbook in all personnel files.

    • Will work directly with the HR Coordinator to develop applicant files for each series of interviews, that contain all of the interview questions, required forms and paperwork.  

    • Interview notes will be maintained in the personnel files along with a copy of the original application for employment, resumes, licensure, CRC clearance, TB results, policies, evaluations, certification, etc. 

    • Conduct reference checks, primary source verification or education, CRC and DMV checks. 

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in the new employee orientation and ensuring that all steps in this process are documented in the employee’s personnel file. 

    • Track agency-required trainings, inform the HR Coordinator of deficiencies in the file related to training or other circumstances, which may negatively impact GCLC or the employee’s licensure. 

    • Track Employee Performance Evaluation schedule including notification of Team Leaders of the due dates of evaluations of each member of that team. 

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in timely responses of unemployment claims from Department of Labor, as well as any requests from EEOC.

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in administration of monthly random drug testing, informing those employees who are selected for random test, and receipt and handling of drug test results.

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in coordinating annual health insurance, retirement and Cafeteria Plan enrollments in November and December of each year. 

    • Assisting the HR Coordinator in scheduling exit interviews for all employees leaving the agency, documenting the return of all agency-owned equipment and keys.

     

    Consistently support the agency’s standards, mission and policies. Cooperate and maintain good rapport with all staff and clients. MAINTAIN PROFESSIONAL CONFIDENTIALITY FOR ALL INFORMATION REGARDING STAFF, CLIENTS, PHYSICIANS, AND GCLC OBTAINED AS A RESULT OF EMPLOYMENT AT GCLC.  All other duties as assigned by the CEO or CFO.

     

    LEVEL AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:

    Supervised by the HR Coordinator.  Supervision to include one-on-one personal supervision, general staff meetings, and team meetings. Expected to be highly self-directed.

     

    CONDITIONS OF WORK:

    Hiring and promotion will be accomplished in compliance with GCLC’s Personnel Policies and Procedures. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday. Travel is required of employee for delivery of services, training and conferences. Personal transportation is required.
