The position of Assistant Manager of Patient Accounts is responsible for the day-to-day direction of activities and personnel that support Account Receivable (A/R) management activities. This includes the management of third party collections, account follow-up, customer service, payment posting activities, and production.
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control, follow-up, and reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy in charging, billing, and reimbursement.
- Mentors staff to develop their knowledge and understanding of the Revenue Cycle and their respective impact on its efficiency.
- Works with departments to resolve A/R and payer issues.
- Participates in organizational meetings involving discussion of A/R processes and trends.
- Participates on any RCM related technology initiatives; including upgrades, new software, and/or change management

- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with different levels within the organization as well as different types of clients.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a physician/mental health billing office with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the areas of revenue cycle management, third party billing and collections, business office policies and workflows, and performance analysis.
- Proficient in areas of technology and applications supporting the revenue cycle; including practice management systems and charge capture.
