    ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS

     

    Xavier University, an AACSB accredited Jesuit University in the Catholic tradition, invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Economics beginning in Fall 2019. We welcome applicants with specializations in applied microeconomics, with a preference for those with fields in urban/regional economics, public economics, law and economics, health economics, and labor economics. Salary will be competitive. Faculty members typically teach nine credit hours per semester. They are expected to be excellent teachers, innovative in their approach to teaching in the undergraduate and MBA programs, and active scholars engaging in individual and collaborative research activity leading to publication in quality outlets. Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD prior to the start of the Fall 2019 semester.
