  • Responsibilities

     

    We presently have an opportunity for a full-time MANAGING PRODUCER, SHORT FORM CONTENT. This position will be responsible for the creative development and execution of assigned short form features, vignettes, ancillary programming and/or TOUR related projects. They will oversee production of predictive content and manage daily production schedules on a per project basis. This position will also coordinate workflow to maximize content across all Digital and Broadcast platforms, mentor/assist in the development of production staff to improve product quality and work with supervisors on planning of projects and personnel assignments.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Television/Film Production, Broadcast Journalism, Communications and/or related area of study
    • Minimum 7 years in the production industry, including 5 years producing features for Broadcast and/or Digital
    • Production experience should include 5 years single and multi-camera field production and all phases of post-production
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing content, formulating budgets, generating creative treatments, organizing run of show, script writing
    • Need to be able to multi-task and handle several projects at the same time
    • Prior staff management experience preferred
    • Sports production background preferred, experience with the game of golf a plus

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the planning and execution, in coordination with Heads of Original and Digital Content, of assigned features and/or projects. Supervise personnel on the assigned projects
    • Oversee the execution of assigned projects to ensure that the quality is at the highest level
    • Coordinate with others in the delivery of content for various platforms, including shooting and edit schedules; administer personnel assignments regarding those schedules
    • Develop lines of communication and relationships with various PGA TOUR departments to ensure efficient execution of projects
    • Work with supervisors and other leaders to maintain project budgets. Oversee logistics and administrative duties
    • Concept, create and/or adhere to creative standard and foster ideas. Approve scripts, edits and the final product as necessary
    • Produce field shoots and feature content
    • Handle client relations, make contacts, get creative approvals and follow through on assigned projects. Provide outstanding client services to all clients including internal and external clients
    • Foster a creative team environment that allows imaginative ideas to go from concept to completion
    • Execute programming as appropriate that reflects the PGA TOUR’s overall objectives and initiatives
    • Conduct regular informal employee performance feedback sessions with personnel to encourage short and long-term employee development
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including travel, nights, weekends and holidays
