  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for performing dispatch functions in a manner that will insure prompt, efficient delivery of MPW services to its customers. This includes tracking of all resources and their associated data.

     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Schedules upcoming manpower and machinery jobs in conjunction with operation or branch manager.
    2. Schedules labor force and supervisors to specific jobs.
    3. Notifies supervisors/labor force of assignments.
    4. Ensures preparation of information needed for job site.
    5. Ensures update of roster for manpower and equipment.
    6. Provides back-up assistance for personnel and equipment to branches as needed, reviews assignments and usage information.
    7. Utilizing the MPW GPS system to improve asset utilization and decision making.
    8. Performs other duties as directed.

     ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. This position handles emergency responses to customer needs and insuring all personnel, equipment and supplies are dispatched quickly.
    2. Requires relocating equipment/personnel from other jobs.
    3. Has the authority to make unsupervised decisions consistent with the scope of responsibilities.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    1. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Associate Degree with specialization in industrial or vocational trades required.
    2. Advanced knowledge in dispatching in a service industry or from several years in a field position at MPW.
    3. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
    4. 2-3 years of dispatch experience involving trucks and heavy equipment.
    5. Experience with GPS and other software automation systems preferred.
  • Qualifications

    LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT: 

    • Frequent walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling.
    • Willing to work beyond normal working hours and during disastrous circumstances, as needed.
    • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and outside agencies and to work cooperatively with other associates.
    • Ability to present to groups.
    • Ability to remain calm under stress.
    • Ability to communicate with local staff, remote staff, and outside agencies.
