    JOB TITLE: Employee Health AssistantHOME OFFICE: Hadley Center/East Clinical Office/Corporate Resource Center (Pasco County)Hours within Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Employee Health Assistant is an LPN who provides numerous health services for Gulfside Healthcare Services employees, contract employees and volunteers, with particular emphasis in the area of occupational health. The Employee Health Services Assistant utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the needs of the Gulfside Healthcare Services employee population.

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Licensed as an LPN per state requirements

    Commitment and ability to work with various departments and interdisciplinary teams to meet employee and organizational goals

    Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and public speaking skills

    Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word

    Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize duties

    Must have reliable transportation to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must be able to provide proof of automobile insurance.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coordinates preventative screening and immunization programs (e.g., N95 fit testing, TB skin testing, influenza, hepatitis B, varicella and other appropriate immunizations) and surveillance programs designed to identify and monitor risks to the employee’s health.

    Safely administers and appropriately documents on immunizations and TB skin tests given to employees per protocol.

    Performs communicable disease exposure follow-up.

    Provides follow-up to employees in a timely manner, especially where occupational exposure or disease is a concern.

    Interprets lab reports and screening tests accurately.

    Consults Human Resources Department as needed to provide appropriate counseling and follow up for employees with injuries, illness, or exposure to diseases.

    Maintains and updates confidential comprehensive employee health records.

    Maintains immunization, TB screening and exposure follow-up programs including billing.

    Contributes to the development of policies and procedures related to Employee Health, as well as implementation, promotion and evaluation of educational programs and materials.

    Monitors and provides programs for employee safety and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

    Maintains employee health information in a confidential manner.

    Monitor employee work-related illness and identifies trends and assess, develops and implements strategies to preventing work related illness and expedite return to work.

    Performs Bloodborne pathogen exposure assessment, assistance, and follow up.

    Assists with trainings related to health and safety as assigned.
