    Job Summary:

    We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Controls Service Technician to become an integral part of our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate should be a local professional boasting a minimum of 2 years of experience in building automation controls. This role demands proficiency in the installation, service, startup, and programming of building automation projects across a variety of commercial environments, including but not limited to hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and laboratories. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and certifications in Tridium, Niagara, and N4 will be given preference.

    Responsibilities:

    Execute installation, service, and startup tasks for building automation control systems within commercial facilities.

    Apply programming knowledge to optimize the operation of building automation projects efficiently.

    Identify and resolve issues with control systems, offering timely and effective solutions.

    Engage with clients to clarify their needs, address any concerns, and ensure overall satisfaction.

    Maintain precise and current documentation pertaining to service activities, including reports, logs, and system records.

    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to meet project objectives successfully.

    Keep certifications such as Tridium Niagara, and N4 up to date as necessary.

    Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.

    Qualifications:

    A minimum of 2 years' experience in building automation controls.

    Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

    Demonstrated experience with the installation, service, startup, and programming of building automation systems.

    Preferred certifications in Tridium Niagara, and N4.

    Knowledge of working in commercial settings such as hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and labs.

    Strong capabilities in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Must be a local candidate capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
