    Job Title: HVAC/Plumbing Preconstruction Manager

    Overview: This position is essential for a leading firm in the commercial mechanical construction industry, focusing on HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial facilities. The role demands a strategic approach to preconstruction processes, including system design, planning, and coordination, to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead the preconstruction phase with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring designs meet client needs and industry standards.

    Offer engineering expertise to enhance project planning and execution.

    Review technical documents with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.

    Engage in business development activities, providing technical insights and proposals.

    Coordinate with various teams to achieve project objectives and deadlines.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

    Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in HVAC and plumbing systems.

    Proficient in California Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards, and familiar with OSHPD/HCAI requirements.

    Experience in designing and managing projects across various sectors, including healthcare and education.

    Leadership skills with experience in supervising engineering staff.

    Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaborations.

    Preferred:

    EIT/PE Licensure.

    Experience with BIM, AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.

    Knowledge in sustainable design practices and energy modeling.
