    Job Title: Commercial Electrical Estimator

    Overview: Seeking a dedicated Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our team, focusing on accurately evaluating electrical project costs from initial concept through final bid submission. This role is central to our project planning and execution strategy, requiring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration.

    Responsibilities:

    Conduct detailed electrical material and labor quantity take-offs.

    Develop estimates and document assumptions based on project conceptualizations.

    Liaise with architectural and engineering consultants to ensure clarity and comprehensiveness of project scopes, schedules, and material specifications.

    Engage in milestone document reviews to detect scope changes, optimizing project value through alternative solutions and recommendations.

    Participate actively in estimate review sessions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    Facilitate the bidding process by engaging with subcontractors, analyzing proposals, and integrating bid data into project cost databases.

    Support project teams with change order estimates and scope documentation.

    Coordinate across various project disciplines to ensure a harmonized electrical estimating approach.

    Employ and stay abreast of the latest estimating technologies and methodologies to enhance service quality.

    Requirements:

    Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

    Demonstrated ability in estimating costs for large-scale projects.

    Familiarity with construction processes and different project delivery methods.

    Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.

    Preferred:

    Strong organizational and effective communication skills.

    A proactive approach to problem-solving and project preconstruction processes.

    Ability to foster professional relationships with subcontractors and clients.

    Commitment to continuous learning and technology adoption in estimating practices.
