BUILDING AUTOMATION CONTROLS ESTIMATOR JOB IN RIVERSIDE, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare timely cost analysis using on-screen computer estimating software; calculate labor, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and other costs.
• Review bid documents for upcoming projects as well as large change-order requests.
• Develop value engineering strategies.
• Build and maintain pricing information.
• Maintain productivity rate and material pricing.
• Review and understand all project bid requirements and send bid information to subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist in vendor quotes for new projects. 
• Prepare financial analyses of upcoming projects using value engineering to ensure customer satisfaction, including compliance with state and federal standards.
• Generate and review concise and informative SOW statements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and understand SOW with limited information.
• Create compelling and efficient bids.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 15+ years of Controls Estimating experience
• Must have a thorough knowledge of estimating controls systems for Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Negotiated, and Plan-Spec projects, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and construction documents.
• Produce accurate, timely, and competitive estimates that can provide a reasonable profit 
• Local stable work history and solid recommendations/ referrals from former colleagues

PREFERRED:

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or construction management
• Prior BAS Controls Installation, Service, or Programming experience.
