    Job Title: Senior Accountant/Supervisor

    Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Accounting professional who would be responsible for the bi-monthly payroll process as well as assisting the Controller with the monthly accounting process (financial and general ledger duties). This individual will be a detail and customer service oriented self-starter, proactive and a strategic problem solver.

    Responsibilities

    • Managing the full-cycle, bi-monthly payroll process for a company of 200 professionals.
    • Ensure accuracy of timekeeping systems and records, coordinating with management personnel regarding timekeeping issues and related documentation (e.g. missing punches, time sheet corrections, adjustments, meal/break waivers etc.). Ensure entries and calculations comply with company policy and all applicable laws/regulations.
    • Assisting with the day to day financial management of the company including preparing general ledger entries to maintain records and files.
    • Preparing financial reports on a monthly basis.
    • Creating detail and summary ad-hoc schedules in excel.
    • Assist with other monthly duties as needed, providing a backup for accounts payable, cash receipts, and credit card reconciliations.
    • Assist in the review and analysis of financial information/reports for accuracy and completeness.
    • Remaining confidential with all financial, accounting, and HR information.
    • Defining and adhering to operational best practices.
    • All other responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience with a mix of both public accounting and private experience.
    • Prior payroll experience preferred, but strong technical accounting skills is a must.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy,
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines and thrive within a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) skills.
    • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
    • Interest in professional services a plus.
