    POSITION IS OPENED IN MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a senior business manager who reports to the VP Asia & Business Development for Construction Adhesives (CA) Global Business Unit. They will be responsible to build and lead a high performing sales team to drive market penetration in South East Asia.

    The purpose of this position is to provide commercial leadership for our CA business in South East Asia. This includes working with market segment and regional leadership to develop business strategies and plans to establish sustainable revenue growth in the area of scope. The position has direct responsibility for the commercial activities in the geographic scope as well as providing cross functional support to other business stakeholders as needed.

    The BDM is expected to: Identify market opportunities, develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies, penetrate new markets, negotiate high level agreements, hire and focus talent on the development and delivery of innovative solutions to customers.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES

    The BDM will develop and lead a dedicated sales team to drive expansion and extension of the CA global business into the region and ensure that profitable growth targets are achieved.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Account & Margin Management.
    • Key account / group co-ordination.
    • New business development & Geographic expansion.
    • Product line & Channel Management.
    • Ensuring relevant market and activity data is captured in SFDC.
    • Successful commercialization of new products and/or services to the region.
    • Support management of working capital particularly as it relates to inventory and accounts receivables.
    • Operating business activities within the allocate expense budget targets.
    • Supporting a collaborative sales interface with other functions to deliver overall business goal.
    • The BDM will be requires to drive the continued profitable growth and success of this business by leading a dedicated sales team in his/her region.
    • Focus sales to deliver innovative and profitable solutions to customers as needed to support sales growth.
    • Partner with other business stakeholders and functional resources (eg Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, HR, Finance, Customer Service) to build customer loyalty, improve profit, drive account penetration and revenue growth and close new business.
    • Supporting operations/supply chain co-ordinate business demand to identify the most cost-effective way to provide product and service needs of the region.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Undergraduate degree in relevant field with 10 years of professional industry experience.
    • BA/MBA or equivalent educational qualifications or relevant work experience.
    • Proven track record in revenue and profitability growth within an area of responsibility.
    • Strategic and creative thinking combined with strong finance and business acumen.
    • Adept working through complexity, cross functional challenges & dealing with ambiguity.
    • Understands customer value and drives business process discipline to deliver efficiently.
    • Minimum 5 years of leading a sales team and proven skills in building a team.
    • A basic knowledge of B2B marketing and its tools and how to apply them to the CA market in the regional scope.

     

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Education: High School diploma or GED

    Experience: Adequate experience performing the duties of the position described under Job Description.

    Preferred school and/or working experience modifying raster drawings and creating vector drawings using illustrating programs such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, PTC IsoDraw, and Corel Designer.

    Proficient with the following software, including but not limited to:

    • Raster graphic software
    • Paint Shop Pro
    • Vector graphic software
    • Corel Designer/
    • PTC IsoDraw
    • AutoCAD
    • VGMT Intelligent graphics
    • Adobe Illustrator

    Must be able to produce quality vector drawings in a high volume with minimal to no errors.

    Must be an U.S. Citizen.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
