    INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING INTERN - LEAN MANUFACTURING 

    AURORA, IL

    SUMMER 2021

     

    The intern will support the Continuous Improvement team focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement across 10 factories & warehouses across North America. This internship will be 40 hours per week.

     

    DESCRIPTION:

     

    • Design/build-out of Lean Manufacturing deployment template
    • Build-out of Teams Governance processes
    • Prepare documentation for sharing with various stakeholders within the organization
    • Process Map of deployment plan
    • Create toolkit of lean techniques - tool definitions, criteria for use, identified training resources
    • Learn content of Job Instruction Methods and facilitate at least one 6 hour training event

     

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering to be completed between December 2021 – June 2023
    • Must have completed Sophomore year of program and coursework
    • Skills and ability to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes
    • Awareness and/or Training in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
    • Comfortable working daily in manufacturing shop floor environment (60% office and 40% factory/warehouse)
