    Position Summary:

    Lead development of the company’s pricing development and regulatory strategy. Develops and maintains internal and external relationships to ensure regulatory compliance and consensus building in meeting both regulatory and corporate needs. Prepares detailed analysis of proposed rates and pricing programs, including evaluation of risks, price stability, and margins; evaluation of price response by customers (preparation of price elasticity studies). Testifies as expert witness in support of rate design and other regulatory topics before regulatory commissions.

    Provides varied and complex management and/or financial analysis, reports and recommendations in support of business/departmental programs. Performs various evaluations and calculations to produce, support, and maintain data system integrity. Integrates and compiles data into quantifiable summaries, models, and forecasts for development, review, and approval of issue action plans. Develops recommendations for actions based on analysis. Areas of responsibility may include preparing, collecting and interpreting financial information; preparing budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns; conducting analyses of proposals; managing the organization's pricing and related financial data; ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

    Primary Duties:

    • Solve problems and develop solutions that call for original approach based on thorough and comprehensive knowledge and expertise.
    • Lead in identifying appropriate statistical and modeling procedures, metrics, project requirements, and information requirements for Company.
    • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
    • Thoroughly research and identify areas for analysis; produce summary analysis and present to department or executive leadership.
    • Perform primarily financial and statistical analyses on assigned projects in order to identify trends, variances, and data gaps.
    • Serve as a source of expertise on reporting systems and data sources.
    • Take action in a self-directed manner to identify issues and make recommendations to department leadership; works independently; receives minimal guidance.
    • Produce and maintain data specific to projects/program/process and or department.
    • Collaborate with department management and recommend specific actions in response to analysis; follow-up on recommended action plans.
    • Provide guidance and work leadership for day to day activities and projects.
    • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics, And 3 years related experience; (OR)
    • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics, And 6 years related experience.
    • Must have a valid state drivers license.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • In depth knowledge of economic, financial and/or statistical analysis.
    • Ability to perform computer modeling on various systems.
    • Strong understanding of the regulatory process involving utility rate cases.
    • Excellent computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
    • Skilled in statistics, reporting, and database software
    • Previous exposure to market research concepts.
    • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex.
    • Ability to effectively present testimony before regulatory commissions in support of company positions.
    • Ability to interface with and effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
    • Knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
    • Effective negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to interface with diverse personalities and receive instruction, guidance and direction from others.
    • Ability to synthesize, analyze, and summarize data using business theories, principles, and concepts.
    • Ability to identify and solve complex problems; taking a new perspective using existing solutions.
    • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of professional responsibility.
    • Direct experience with electricity pricing

     

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed in an office environment using a computer and computer equipment including a keyboard, mouse and computer monitor.
    • May require overnight travel.
    • May spend extended periods of time sitting and using a computer monitor.
    • May be required to work non-standard hours.

    Special Safety Requirements:

    • All positions in which driving is an essential function of the job, regardless if the job code is marked safety sensitive or not, will also be included as safety sensitive. Individuals in positions in which driving is an essential function are subject to the terms and conditions set forth in OGE Energy Corp.'s Drug Testing Plan.

    SKILLS, ABILITIES & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
    • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
    • Basic numeric reasoning skills.
    • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50-100+lbs repetitively.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
    • Obtain and maintain a DOT physical card
    • Must be able and willing to fill in for driver as needed

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Tuesday through Saturday;  6:00am until assigned deliveries are complete.
