    SUMMARY:

    This category includes occupations concerned with maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities; installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining in efficient operating condition a wide variety of engines and mechanical equipment designed for use in domestics, commercial, industrial, and agricultural activities.

    The Plumber assembles, installs and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes, studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required, and sequence of installations. This worker inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe, and locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors. This worker cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools, cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine, bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine, or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand.

    The Plumber assembles and installs valves, pipefittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic. This person joins pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints, fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking, installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. This person repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains, and may weld holding fixtures to steel structural members.

     

    KNOWLEDGE:

    Considerable knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

     

    MIN EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Completion of a Certified Apprenticeship Program

    10 to 12 years of related plumbing experience Must be a Certified Master Plumber

    Certification in assigned area may be required

    Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Possess strong Export / Import / International trade entire process knowledge. Diploma in EXIM trade is preferable. • Must have handled core End to End process management of Export order executions, right from booking the freight, clearance and till end customer delivery, including documentation. • Candidate should have well versed knowledge on all freight forwarding / Custom House Agent activities pertaining to International trade, this includes container booking, complete coordination with freight forwarding, Customs house agents and if needed Custom department. • Candidate should have worked independently on document creation under various terms of dispatch and payment under International trade, including Letter of credit. • 3 to 4 years customer service / Sales orders execution (Order to dispatch), of which majority work experience should be related to International business activities. • Ability to multitask • Action oriented and high energy to work in a challenging, changing and flexible environment. • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet customer demands and deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Possess professional demeanor in a dynamic work environment. • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. • Intermediate PC skills; include Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree (Any stream Science, Commerce, Eng. Etc) • Import Export Diploma from recognized institute will be added advantage. • Knowledge of company organizational structure and basic product knowledge • Experience in process manufacturing/chemical/pharmaceutical industry
