    SHIFT MANAGER / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR  - 3RD SHIFT

    COVINGTON, GA

     

     

    The Shift Manager reports to the Production Manager and has primary responsibility for managing all production-related activities for a given shift at H.B. Fuller's Covington, GA location. Accountable for meeting plant production, safety, quality and employee engagement objectives. This role will have direct supervision responsibility of 12 employees within our production team.

     

     

    DESCRIPTION:          

    • Maintain all H.B. Fuller quality and safety programs.
    • Collaborate with the plant manager and plant leadership team to establish annual goals and objectives for the facility.
    • Manage the team in accordance with H.B. Fuller policies, practices, procedures, and programs.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • 4-year degree, preferably in engineering field, OR high school diploma or equivalent in addition to 3+ years' leadership experience with H.B. Fuller as a Team Leader.
    • 5+ years' production experience, of which, at least 2 years were at a supervisory level.  
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to lead and supervise others and solve problems independently.
    • Strong organizational skills and an ability to plan and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations manually, with the aid of a calculator, or through the use of computerized spreadsheets.   
    • Must be able to work the required hours for this role, depending on the shift and some weekends required as needed.
    • As Shift Manager, you will be fully engaged with our standards and have the ability to assist in the growth of the company while being a leader through collaboration.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (Six Sigma Green or Black Belt would be a strong plus).
    • Familiarity with SAP, or similar ERP system. 
    • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
    • Project management experience.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Responsible for overall subcontract administration for all commercial and Government contracts
    2. Responsible for all aspects of the subcontract administration process including generation of Request for Proposals (RFP), proposal evaluations, source selections, negotiations, file documentation, change management, invoice approvals, dispute resolution, and subcontract close-out
    3. Evaluate the Statement of Work (SOW) to mitigate risk at all phases of subcontract formation, performance, and close-out
    4. Prepare CPSR compliant subcontract documentation in accordance with Public Law, FAR, DFARS, to include in-depth cost/price analysis
    5. Monitor subcontract performance and initiate corrective action if performance falters
    6. Execute subcontract modifications in response to changing requirements
    7. Perform close-out activities
    8. Provide timely and accurate subcontract status to company management
    9. Ensure that all transactions are in accordance with the Company Business Process and Government Regulations
    10. Coordinate the full range of activities of the business support as it pertains to Bids & Proposals, and the utilization of Small Businesses
    11. Perform desk and on-site audits of project subcontracts/procurement files
    12. Perform file remediation to ensure compliance to Public Law, FAR, and DFARS
    13. Review for accuracy purchase requests, ensuring all applicable documentation is included
    14. Ensure that all applicable PBSS and corporate purchasing policies are adhered to
    15. Oversee Purchasing Agents’ performance and workload
    16. Other duties as required
