    The Account Manager is a critical position in H.B. Fuller's Packaging and Converting sales division.  The ideal candidate will be based in any of the locations listed and the territory includes the states of Texas and Oklahoma.  Key customers include Kimberly Clark, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Nestle, Miller Coors & International Paper.  This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team that has been growing through new product innovations delivering value to large customers in the packaging and paper markets.   

     

     

    The Account Manager position is expected to grow and retain H.B. Fuller's market share and customer base in key market segments while achieving profit sales targets. The successful Account Manager will demonstrate an ability to communicate and influence at all levels; possess technical competence and independently able to manage demonstrations and technical problem-solving; will be focused on growth (larger opportunities), and optimizing price and profitability; will be accountable for delivering results; and have the ability to train & mentor entry / new sales representatives.

     

     

    DESCRIPTION:

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

     

    • Accountable for delivering annual business results, aligned with business plan, sales, CM and volume
    • Growth – focuses effort on delivering growth and maintains existing business to deliver plan
    • Negotiates pricing and margin (aligned with the business) using value selling and the pricing tool to capture the optimum price and margin for the company
    • Drives customer intimacy by delivering value proposition tailored to meet the needs of the customer
    • Promote, quantify and expertly sell value, which differentiates H.B. Fuller in the market and adds value to our customers
    • Leverage all sales processes, including salesforce.com, consistently applies sales process
    • Independently technically support the customer for standard needs, including running a product demonstration
    • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities and communicate forecasting needs to the business

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS: 

     

    • 4 year college degree required, with a technical/mechanical, marketing, or chemistry background preferred
    • 5+ years of relevant sales experience; related industry and B2B experience, preferably with a chemistry background.
    • Preferred experience in packaging and converting sales.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
    • 60% Travel: Travel time depends on size/geography of the territory and includes overnight trips.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Annual raises are rewarded based on company and individual performance.

     

    This position is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended and stoop. Employees regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
