    H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Media Analyst to provide Naval Forces communication plan support for Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) Public Affairs Office.  The support will include continually measuring and enhancing the effectiveness of the CNSP communications plan.

     

    THE MEDIA ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Developing, utilizing, and assessing appropriate metrics to determine the efficacy of COMNAVSURFPAC communication efforts and enable analysis of options to help further amplify and enhance COMNAVSURFPAC messages.
    • Advising and assisting in developing effective metric-based tracking of communication efforts and shall make recommendations for adjusting communication efforts based on assessment analysis.
    • Collecting and analyzing multimodal media including daily newspapers, weekly newspapers, wire services, magazines, television, radio, email, blogs, websites, Rich Site Summary (RSS) feeds and social media through quantitative and qualitative, systematic and objective methods to determine form and content of text and broadcasts.
    • Analyzing Social Media for tone, engagement, and demographic/ geographic reach.
    • Preparing twelve 12 Monthly Assessment reports, four Quarterly “Wrap Up” reports, and up to six Ad Hoc reports.
    • Leveraging data reporting and experience to generate hypotheses and actionable recommendations to the customer’s public affairs team to improve the performance of communication goals/campaigns.
    • Preparing and conducting at least one survey to help CNSP gain a balanced understanding of audience perceptions and impressions.
    • Maintaining a working calendar to lead the direction of the public affairs team by integrating commander’s intent and the PAO’s strategic vision with a clear schedule of short- and long- term public affairs worthy events.
    • Copying, editing and/or drafting talking points, remarks, press releases and other public affairs products

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Security Clearance: “Secret” level clearance.
    • Education: Degree in Analytics and/or Business Administration and/or Digital Media and/or Marketing and/or Media & Multimedia Arts preferred
    • Qualifications:
      • At least 5+ years of experience with Strategic Communications, Stakeholder engagement.
      • Sharp, analytical mind with a history of turning data into actionable insights and recommendations to optimize communication campaigns.
      • Knowledge of traditional and digital media and understand how and why they are utilized in developing strategic campaigns.
      • Strong working knowledge of digital media workflow, measurement, research, optimization, and testing methods.?
      • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including conducting executive level presentations.?
      • Excellent project management skills; strong attention to detail and cross-team collaboration?
      • Strong working knowledge of analytics platforms and tools (DoubleCLick, Facebook, Google Analytics), BI Tools (Tableau, Domo etc).
      • Proficiency with syndicated and proprietary media research tools.
      • Experienced working in the digital analytics field.
      • Structured Query Language (SQL) ability a plus.
